The Branch Picture Rail
Collier Webb is proud to present the Branch Picture Rail, a singular and sculptural addition to its hardware collection, one that begins not in the studio, but in the landscape itself.
Inspired by a fallen birch branch discovered in the Sussex countryside, the design captures a fleeting moment in nature and transforms it into a lasting object of beauty. Through the ancient art of lost wax casting, the original organic form is preserved in solid brass, immortalising every ridge, curve, and texture with remarkable fidelity.
More than a functional object, the Branch Picture Rail becomes part of the composition itself, an expression of “found art” that elevates the act of hanging artwork into one of curation.
Cast at 1700mm as standard, each rail is handmade and finished by skilled artisans allowing some customisation, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Discreet hooks fixed to the reverse of the branch support adjustable chains, allowing artworks to be precisely positioned while maintaining the illusion of effortless hanging. Unlike traditional systems, the Branch Picture Rail does not employ finials or visible S hooks, reinforcing its sculptural, uninterrupted form.
The Branch Picture Rail is offered in a curated selection of hand-applied finishes.
Cast using a minimum of 25% recycled brass and produced entirely at Collier Webb’s Sussex foundry, the piece reflects both the brand’s commitment to sustainability and its dedication to British craftsmanship.

The Ramsay Picture Rail System
Collier Webb is proud to introduce the Ramsay Picture Rail System, a refined and architecturally considered addition to its hardware collection. Designed and handcrafted at the brand’s Sussex foundry, the system extends the distinctive Ramsay language into the realm of picture hanging, offering a sophisticated and flexible solution for displaying art and objects.
Building upon the established Ramsay family of furniture and hardware, the design is defined by its sculptural knuckle detail - a series of subtle peaks and ridges that create a striking geometric rhythm. Each facet catches the light, lending depth and definition to the piece while evoking stylised bamboo forms associated with mid-century design, reinterpreted through Collier Webb’s contemporary lens.
The system comprises a newly developed S hook, ring bracket, and finial, each meticulously crafted using the traditional lost wax casting method. This time-honoured technique, practiced at Collier Webb’s foundry for almost five decades, allows for exceptional precision and surface quality, ensuring each component meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Available for a 1” rail, the Ramsay Picture Rail System offers the possibility of electrification, enabling it to integrate seamlessly with Collier Webb’s selection of picture rail lighting. A selection of signature hand applied metal finishes is available, allowing for effortless coordination with existing interior schemes.
