Join the celebrations at Belgravia's Christmas lights switch-on event
Save the date! See Belgravia's Elizabeth Street illuminated with twinkling Christmas lights during its magical switch-on party in partnership with the Belgravia Traders Association and charity partner, NSPCC.
This year, beloved broadcaster and author Gyles Brandreth will do the honours of switching on the Christmas lights.
Taking place on Sunday 16 November from 12pm to 5pm, visitors can meet Father Christmas and his elf, as well as enjoying family-friendly entertainment which will be provided by a juggler and balloon modeller.
Adding to the festive atmosphere will be a line-up of magical performers including Winter Sprites, a Living Snow Globe, Angels on stilts, and a festive hula hooper.
Enjoy performances from the London Gay Men's Chorus, the Fulham Brass Band and steel band Solid Steel on stage in Elizabeth Street.
And don't miss the nearby pop-up Christmas Market in Eccleston Yards where you can shop for stocking fillers, sip mulled wine and indulge in seasonal menus.
Christmas light switch-on times
The glittering Christmas lights will be switched on by Gyles Brandreth at 4.45pm on Elizabeth Street.
Gyles Brandreth is a writer, broadcaster, actor, former MP and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, Chancellor of the University of Chester and one of Britain's most sought-after award ceremony hosts and after-dinner speakers.
A star of Celebrity Gogglebox a veteran of Have I Got News for You, a reporter on The One Show, a presenter on Pointless, a guest on Would Lie to you? and Sunday Brunch, a regular on This Morning and since the 1980s one of the mainstays of Just a Minute on BBC Radio 4.
Seasonal photo corner
Enjoy a 10-minute festive photo shoot with photographer Neli Prahova, who will have a pop-up photo studio at 147 Ebury Street. The shoot costs £35 which includes one image, and the option to buy more.

- The Lime Tree Hotel will be serving mulled wine and hot chocolate until 5pm.
- Wild by Tart in Eccleston Yards will be offering complimentary roasted nuts during the switch-on event. If you want to warm up, pop into the lounge bar for a mulled wine or a seasonal Bathtub Gin cocktail.

- Stullen will be offering a Christmas special on the day: hot chocolate with marshmallows and a selection of sweet seasonal pastries.
