Negroni Masterclass at Boisdale of Belgravia
Boisdale of Belgravia has a dedicated Negroni Bar, and the person who runs it takes the cocktail seriously. This masterclass, held during Negroni Week on Tuesday 22nd September, is an evening in that room with Bar Manager Brian Calleja, with spaces kept deliberately small.
The session opens with a welcome aperitivo paired with a canapé before Brian walks through the history: Italian aperitivo culture, the Milano-Torino, the Americano and the birth of the Negroni itself. The hands-on section begins with a Classic Negroni, then guests create their own Signature Negroni with Brian guiding the process throughout, each served with a matching canapé. The evening closes with a look at structure, balance and flavour, and practical tips for recreating and riffing on the drink at home.
