Kickstarting thw new series, Cubitt House Drinks With, Mark Hix takes over The Blood Orange Bar from 24–26 April, bringing his unmistakable style to the heart of Belgravia.

Hix is the mind behind the much-loved Mark’s Bar, the Soho speakeasy that became something of a pilgrimage for cocktail lovers. At its helm was the legendary Nick Strangeway, whose ingredient-led approach helped shape the bar’s reputation for quietly exceptional drinks.

For three evenings, that same spirit arrives at The Blood Orange Bar with a menu that nods to the classics while celebrating British producers. Expect signatures such as the Hix Fix, an English Sparkling Wine cocktail with Morello Cherries and Somerset Cider Brandy Eau de Vie, alongside the Temperley Sour, created by Hix in honour of Julian Temperley of the Somerset Cider Brandy Company. A West Country take on the classic Whiskey Sour, it balances bright citrus with the depth of Somerset’s celebrated cider brandy.

Seasonal, thoughtful and rooted in the best of British ingredients, the menu reflects much of what we hold dear at Cubitt House: creativity behind the bar, a reverence for craft and the convivial pleasure of gathering for a well-made drink.
